What our independence costs us

The commitment

In July 2026 we removed every affiliate link from this site and committed to taking no money from any provider we cover for at least two years. Every outbound provider link is now a plain link to that company's own website. It pays us nothing and passes no search-ranking benefit. Nobody we score, recommend, or warn you about has any financial relationship with this site. The full funding picture is on our editorial independence page.

How the scoring firewall works

Independence was built into the process before it was absolute. Every provider is scored against our 31-point methodology before anyone here looks at its commercial side, and the site's code is built the same way: commission data sits in a walled-off block that no page can render. A score has never been for sale here, and now there is no buyer at all.

The ones we've named

When a provider fails on the public record, we say so out loud. Three telehealth companies on our do-not-recommend list (MEDVi, Strut Health, and Sprout Health) each hold an FDA warning letter, and each runs an affiliate program we could have joined. We didn't, then or now.

The receipts from the affiliate era

Even when this site carried disclosed affiliate links, the pattern held. In June 2026, a partner sent us affiliate links for three compounded-GLP-1 telehealth providers and asked us to review them. We researched all three blind, scored each before looking at any commission, and recommended none of them. Those links, and every other one, are now gone from the site entirely.

Why this list is deliberately short

We name a company publicly only when the case rests on public records (like an FDA warning letter) or once we're confident our own review can withstand scrutiny. Other providers we've reviewed and declined aren't named here yet. Independence means being as careful about what we publish as about what we refuse to sell.
