Does your state's Medicaid cover GLP-1 medications for weight loss? Only 13 do (the obesity indication, since diabetes coverage is far broader). Find your state for the current answer and every legitimate route to the medication.

Read the date. State coverage moves fast. California, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and South Carolina all dropped weight-loss coverage in January 2026. This list is as of April 2026 (Medicaid only, obesity indication). On Medicare? A federal GLP-1 "Bridge" (~$50/mo) starts July 1, 2026. Always confirm with your own plan.
